ABOUT THE COUNCIL

The Council is a group of nine Georgians appointed by the Governor to address American Indian concerns in the state. By Georgia law the Council includes five American Indians, one at-large member, one physical anthropologist, one archaeologist, and one other scientist with expertise in American Indian studies.
