Donald Kirkland

Kirkland is the Director of State Relations for Georgia Institute of Technology. Previously, he served as the Director of Public and Governmental Affairs in the Commissioner’s Office of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and before that held positions in the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, the Department of Economic Development and in Governor Deal’s administration. Donald serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Georgia Council of American Indian Concerns and sits on the board of directors of the Governor’s Interstate Indian Council and Jekyll Island Foundation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Science, a master’s degree in Education, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Georgia State University. He resides in Atlanta and is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
