Dr. Frank L’Engle Williams is a professor of biological (physical) anthropology at Georgia State University, where he serves as the NAGPRA coordinator. In this capacity, he has worked in multiple repatriation efforts with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma. Dr. Williams received his B.A. from the University of Florida and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is the recipient of two U.S. Fulbright awards, author of two books and 50+ journal articles, and a proud father of three children.
